Tuesday 22 March: The Sandflies travelled to Lennox Head on Sunday to have a morning game with the Lennox Legends and wasn’t it a great day. Shame about the few showers that hung around but besides that the day was a beauty. Johnny Nassa and Warren Thatcher did well getting the Lennox social mens club of the ground and a great boost to the Sunday trade for the club. The green run well, top bar service and excellent BBQ lunch to top it all off. Hopefully a return visit will be around the 18th of September when the Legends come to Ballina to try and get there name on the trophy as The Sandflies took out the first game by only 2 points I think and some quality bowls played. Great to see the first of many Sunday mornings with the Lennox legends run so well and hope will continue for many year to come. Home game next week and next month we have a visit from the South Lismore River Rats on the 10th. Till next week take care fellas.
