Cant praise enough young Tater Collier from The Lennox Head Bowling Club. The lad seems to have it all with great bowling skills, a keen surfer and well mannered fella to top it off. Tater and his dad Tony came in to Ballina on Sunday with some other Lennox locals to play with the Sandflies at the Ballina RSL Bowling Club and is more then welcomed anytime that for sure. One other note we hear that Mrs. Parkers little boy Johnny’s wife the lovey Sue isn’t well at all. Preso Col wishes her all the best in these very sad time for all involved. Winners on the day were on rink 1 of the Navy Green with Uncle Fester and Johnny Nasser getting up 29 to 15 against Spearo and Alby. Runners up were next door on rink 2 with Johnny Harley, Frank Renner and Warren Thatcher getting a nice little 10 to 33 touch up by Tony Collier, The Rabbi and former South Sydney Great, Col Pittman. Blues Navy Day next Sunday -29th – and all monies raised in this fundraiser goes to the TS Lismore, a cadet training base, based in Ballina and is a top day that one. Heaps of prizes and a sheet for Blue’s Day is on the Sandflies section of the notice board and will take single or teams plus bowls are provided. Till next week take care fellas.
